The Indiana Champions League is proud to announce league play for U8-U12 teams 2009-2010 playing season.
This is a league sanctioned by US Club Soccer (Member of United States Soccer Federation) for U8-10 teams. Each team must enter the league independent of each other. All teams must be registered through US Club Soccer, either as a club or you can register through the League.
Teams who are not currently members of US Club Soccer may participate, by first applying to the Indiana Champions League, and then you will be required to register your team through US Club Soccer. Your whole club does not have to join US Club Soccer or the league.
The Indiana Champions League is a player development league for clubs U8-U10 players. The fall is a league only environment but in the Spring teams will have an opportunity to play in the Indiana Cup
There are 2 types of members in the Indiana Champions League:
1. Full Member is a club who commits all U8-U10 teams to the developmental league, and supports the other leagues. They obtain the right to vote on all league matters and host league matches.
The Indiana Champions League full members: Centergrove Soccer Club (South Central Soccer Academy), Zionsville Youth Soccer Association, FC Pride Soccer Club, Noblesville United Soccer Club, and Greenfield Soccer Club.
2. Limited Member: is a team who is playing in a league independently of their own club. The team does not obtain a right to vote, nor will they be able to host developmental matches.
Flexible roster:
Teams can roster up to 26 players on a team. This allows for a club to enter one team per age group, and utilize a larger player pool base. Clubs can enter 2 teams. Any player registered in your club with US Club can play on any of your club’s team. All teams must be entered individually. Teams may play up as desired by the club directors or club staff coaches. Players may be moved around as deemed appropriate by club directors or club staff coaches.
Age Groups: There will be a U8 group per gender, Upper U10 per gender (U10 teams and strong U9 teams), and Lower U10 group per gender (U9 teams, new U10 teams). We will also have U12 11v11 league for teams.
Match Day Schedules: All U8/U10 Teams will play at the same complex on the same day. This will allow for clubs to minimize coaching conflicts and to allow for predictability for families. Mandatory play dates will be enforced. Most of the matches will played on Saturdays. Clubs must be able to host the whole match day in order to have “true” home matches. U12 11v11 will play on Wednesdays and some Saturdays.
Team Eligibility: An indvidual team can still apply to the U8-U10 developmental league; however the play dates and locations have been set for the fall. Your club may receive a host day in the spring. Individual Teams may apply to the league independent of their club. An individual U12 team may apply as well.
